Looking to join our group?

We welcome both re-enactment newcomers and experienced hands wishing to do something a bit different.

Through the summer months we try to attend one show a month, worked out by ourselves in an ad-hoc basis. Although we try to plan the year in advance, work and children often mean that this is impossible, so we just have to be flexibile.

We are not an exclusive group.
We see no reason that you shouldn't have a second impression and another set of lads to do other shows with. All we ask is that you come along to as many of our events as possible. If you don't? Well, you're missing out!
Likewise members of other groups are very welcome to come along to any shows we do. We are not about poaching members, but we do believe that as adults you should be able to do what you want and go to the shows you want. If that means coming along with us for a weekend, great stuff!
The 272 served alongside many units in its history and I am sure that we could accomodate most impressions.

For newcomers
Reenactment is a broad church. For some the glitz and glamour of a general's uniform is what they want to do, for us it is the grimy 'frontschwein' look.

We try to keep things realistic, but at the same time to keep it fun.

We also have some spare kit to lend out to help you along with the purchases to start with. Getting a full kit can cost anything upto £1000: we do not expect you to buy it all at once.
